music app

Many people have switched to music streaming services like Spotify, Google Play Music, or Apple Music. But people still prefer to keep track of their media collections because streaming is not enough. For this reason, many third-party apps were developed and made available for our convenience, like the poweramp for PC. But if you are a regular android user, we’ve listed the best music player apps for your device.

AIMP

AIMP is a compelling free mobile music app. It supports all popular music file types such as FLAC, MP3, MP4, etc. There are many customization options available, including themes and other fun stuff. We found the app easy to use and had no problems listening or navigating. It is minimalistic and has a good material design interface. We were also impressed with the excellent equalizer, HTTP live streaming, and volume normalization. This is a better alternative to other music playback apps. There is a desktop version available if you want to kill two ducks with one app. Potential compatibility issues with EMUI and MIUI devices are the only problem.

Musicolet

Musicolet, a simple app for playing music, is free. Musicolet has many exciting features, some of which are not associated with music apps. These include an offline experience, a lightweight user interface, and a small APK size. Other features include multiple queues (another rarity), a tag editor, and support for embedded lyrics. You can also use widgets. It’s straightforward, which is refreshing. It’s the perfect choice for those who want to listen to music but don’t need the extras. It is entirely free and requires no in-app purchases.

BlackPlayer EX

music appA simple yet elegant music player, BlackPlayer puts very little between you and your music. It works with tabs, and you can choose which tabs you prefer. You can also use widgets, scrobbling, and an ID3 tag editor. There are no ads. Themes are not supported. It is an attractive option for lovers of minimalism and is delightfully easy to use. The paid version offers many more features than the free version. The pro version doesn’t cost much.

The free version of BlackPlayer seems to have stopped working as of July 2019, as our July 2019 update shows. We’ll check back in a few months to see if it’s available again.

MediaMonkey

MediaMonkey is a little-known player in the music player app market. It offers many features, such as organizing audiobooks and podcasts and sorting songs by composer (rather than just by artist). There are also essential features like an equalizer. What makes MediaMonkey unique is the ability to sync music from your computer to your smartphone (and vice versa) via WiFi. This can be a bit tricky, but it’s an almost unique feature. MediaMonkey can also sync with iTunes via a cable and is one of the best ways to manage large libraries across multiple devices.

Oto Music

Oto Music offers a robust and straightforward music player. It’s an easy-to-use, attractive player that’s compatible with Google Chromecast and Android Auto. You’ll also get five widgets and pause-free playback. Tag editing is possible, and regular and synchronized lyrics are supported. The app package is only 5 MB in size. Discord is available for those who wish to communicate with the developer. All content in the app is free. However, you can donate between $0.99 and $14.99. It works well, looks good, and there is nothing wrong with it. It is a solid choice in this industry.
